About Me

Shallow, egocentric, omega male, megalomaniac, and still hoping someday to become a proclaimed misogynist...of course, I have some negative traits, too.

However, I'm a strong believer that you can learn a lot more about someone from the music they love. See below:

My Interests

Creating something that might possibly contribute happiness to someone's life, like a song, book or something Chef Tony would sell on a 3AM infomercial.

I'd like to meet:

Men, women, robot women, a large piece of talking ham.

Music:

The reason why I'm really poor...or rich, metaphorically speaking?

Movies:

The Rolling Stones Rock 'n Roll Circus, everything written and/or directed by Wes Anderson or Michel Gondry, most films written and/or directed by Cameron Crowe, David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick, Richard Linklater, Stephen Gaghan, Kevin Smith, and I dare not give credit to Spielberg. And oops, forgot to give credit to Michael Bay for ruining American action films.

Television:

Marquee Moon is pretty good

Books:

Novels, Mags and Rock N Roll biographies -- The Sun Also Rises is one of the best pieces of American art created by anyone (ironically it takes place in Europe, go figure).

Heroes:

Jeff Tweedy, Bob Pollard, Wes Anderson, Jimmy Page, John Lennon, Ernest Hemingway, David Fricke, Fred "Sonic" Smith, Stanley Kubrick, Jeff Buckley, F. Scott Fitzgerald, George Bernard Shaw, Bob Dylan, Ryan Adams, Rob Sheffield, to name a few...

The lack of a love song

So I'm once again awake in the middle of the night (no surprise), and as I sit here around my cubicle of a bedroom I've been thinking a lot lately about music. I'm finishing up Woody Guthrie's Bound ...
