Influences: We've all been very receptive to and stimulated by a great deal of subject matter explored in literature and film created by minds that have operated on an extraordinarily different wavelength than most. From a musical perspective, Tool is a band that has definitely been able to communicate incredible ideas that usually utilize a different form of artistic expression. They really helped us realize the potential of music as a medium.
Some other influencial bands for us range from classic Sabbath and Zeppelin all the way up to modern day Deftones and Sevendust.
Sounds Like: The framework of Engine.'s signature sound consists of a myriad of rich, biomechanical soundscapes interwoven with threads of dark, ethereal compositions. The musicianship and unique aural architecture is as bold as a big block yet as intuitive as an arachnid.
