-Johnny B. Hive Born and raised in Lafayette, Indiana, with a drive and passion for music in his heart, Johnny B. Hive wanted so much more than the corn fields had to offer. B. Hive packed his guitar and headed on a journey to find his place in this world. With stops at every open mic and music venue in Florida, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and everywhere in between Johnny finally settled in New York. "Although I love New York I never want to be here for more then a few weeks, I really feel that the road is my home", states Johnny when asked about his current home. All of these experiences have led Johnny to the soulful rock minstrel he has become today. Whether it was sitting daydreaming by the beach overlooking the Pacific, gazing at the stars in the Nevada desert or simply walking down a Manhattan street these are the many influences that have helped sculpt the musical sound of Johnny B. Hive. WHAT: "You can do anything as long as you believe in you, because someone else believing in you isn't going to cut it if you don't have faith in yourself." -Johnny B. Hive This is Johnny's basic philosophy in life. His infectious personality and love of life grabs everyone he meets and turns them into instant fans and more importantly members of his family. "The first time I saw Johnny I knew this was something special" states Robert Newman, nightclub owner and talent booker. "Johnny came through our doors with nothing but his acoustic on his back and immediately caught the attention of the entire room. Within weeks he was selling out the room on a consistent basis", also says Newman. With every step of Johnny's progression as an artist he has the undeniable gift of making the audience feel part of his world. NOW: "Dude! I'm going to be famous!" -Johnny B. Hive Today, Johnny continues his journey down the musical highway. He is currently working on new material with Betamax Artist Development. "B. Johnny yearns to deliver his musical message to the world. Born and raised in Lafayette, Indiana with a drive and passion for music in his heart.. Wanting so much more than the corn fields had to offer, Johnny B. Hive packed his guitar and headed to Florida. He quickly found that life in the real world wasn’t as easy as he thought it would be. Shortly after hitting open mics around the Orlando area, Bhive headed further South to Englewood. He spent many of his days by the beach, dreaming, just as he had so many times before in his parents’ back yard. It was in Englewood that Bhive met George Domiano -a songwriter, an absolute lyricist- with strong ideas of how he felt the world should be. After writing songs together for about a year, Domiano moved Bhive to New York. Bhive quickly recognized the tremendous opportunities presented to him in New York. Things happen for a reason; Bhive seemed to be running into one thing after another. Settling in Oceanside on Long Island, Bhive lived with a fella named Richey Connatta. Connatta booked Bhive in New York City, where Bhive began making a name for himself without even realizing it. "Sometimes you just have to stop and learn some lessons," Bhive recalls. During this time Bhive met a beautiful blond with whom he fell in love. Also on a voyage to do something great, the two combined their efforts. Little did they know, it would prove to be unsuccessful. ’I guess they are right with the phrase, "You can’t mix business with pleasure,"’says Bhive. It was at that time that Bhive headed to Levittown, a place causing quite a buzz with the Long Island music scene. With an audience of fans and friends he had made in his now three years in New York, Bhive hit Levittown with such a force that he caught the attention of Robert Newman. With Newman’s gracious support and assistance, Bhive found himself playing gigs all over Manhattan and Long Island. Bhive’s success in Manhattan prompted Newman to relocate Bhive to Los Angeles, California. With the help of Stephanie Lanier, There, he attended the Grammys and got a taste of what the celebrity lifestyle was really like. BHive eventually found himself playing acoustic shows in Los Angeles and Las Vegas over the next year. While in Las Vegas he caught the attention of a man named Sonny who owned Sonco Entertainment Group. With his help, he has recorded and played at gigs all around the Las Vegas area and continues to do so. With the support of old friends and family and the help of new friends, BHive continues to move forward to fulfill his musical destiny. "You can do anything as long as you believe in you, because someone else believing in you isn’t going to cut it if you don’t have faith in yourself," states BHive. "I’ve never seen anyone more driven than he is with his passion for music," says his brother Andrew, "It really is inspiring to watch him keep working and moving further and further to achieve his dream that he has never given up .. all of these years." Bhive is finding peace of mind in his understanding of religion and his faith in God while pursuing his music career.
