I'm a very chilled-out guy who's into G-d (the "Force", if you prefer), my family and MUSIC!
I was raised in
Canarsie , Brooklyn. As a child, it was the best place on earth. It was a suburb in the city, with hardly any crime. Our nights were spent playing tag &
ringolevio . Then, as I became a teenager, the neighborhood changed due to the liberal racial politics of New York City. I'm all for people living wherever they want, but forcing people from different neighborhoods, of different socio-economic & racial backgrounds to live & attend school together creates a tinderbox waiting to explode. And that's exactly what happened in Canarsie.
It became a place better known for it's mafia connections, partying and race-riots. However, I personally had lots of friends of all ethnicities and religions. Music & having fun removes lots of barriers. I especially love them Eye-talians... even married one.
I spent almost the entire 1980's in every major nightclub in NYC, Brooklyn, Queens & LI. Major shout out to all the regulars at all these clubs that shaped my current musical tastes: (in chronological order)... Zorros, Illusions, Patches, Roll A Palace, Romeo & Juliets, Heatwave, Fantasy Island, Studio 54, THE FUNHOUSE!, Xenon, Paradise Garage, Starbucks (the club), The Palladium, 1018, Limelight, the Bay Club, Metro 700, Malibu, Speaks, Bryant Street, Channel 80, 231 & Uncle Sams. I DJ'd regularly in nightclubs from NYC to Long Island from 1987 - 1996, mixing two-three nights a week till 4am classic disco, freestyle, funk, old-skool hip hop and house music. My main clubs were Jamz, L.I. Exchange and Polyesters. I did shorter stints at Coco's, Buttles, Zachary's, Metro 700, Uncle Sams, Cafe Society, Dappers and some "Gentlemans Clubs", including Goldfingers & Stringfellows.
I seriously rocked those clubs, mixing and scratching vinyl until 4am. There's nothing like building a dance floor into a slow crescendo, torturing them with mixes, samples and beats, and driving them into a dance frenzy.
Since 1993, I've been running a DJ Entertainment business, predominantly doing Bar & Bat Mitzvahs, Weddings, 40th birthdays and high-end corporate functions. I dabble in event planning as well, organizing entire events from soup to nuts, including all their extra entertainment, staging & lighting.
And even though there's more money in the extravagant events, I much prefer playing for crowds where I can personally mix classics & dance music for 4 hours+ straight. Once in a while, I'll get a call for a stray club night, and I'm in heaven, working the crowd!

Traveling cross country or internationally is not a problem. Just keep in mind that I don't work Friday nights, due to my observance of the Jewish Sabbath.
But enough about spinning beats.... As I'm aging like a fine wine (or cheese, if you like), I've learned that life isn't all about partying until 4am. I came to the realization that there's gotta be something more to life than the awesome, yet repetitive, nightclub & music scene.
So, here's where I'm at: I consider myself Super Jew, and if the following bores you, just skip this section:-) Even though I grew up as an ethnic/gastronomic Jew, with no knowledge of spirituality, what I'm really into is knowing & learning about Hashem (G-d), Torah & Mitzvot from the some amazing Rabbis at certain organizations.

AISH . Every Jew is welcome, no matter where you're at. I've seen guys come to shul on Shabbos (the Sabbath) in their dirty work clothes, put on a tallis (prayer shawl), daven the Shemona Esrei (pray), and then go back to work. The Rabbis don't even blink. BUT, when you're ready to learn and do more, they will gladly teach you, with no judging & no strings attached. If you KNOW there's more to life than what we can see with our eyes, then we should know one another.
With all due respect to my Christian peeps, I'm very much into counter-missionary work, fighting the deceptive methods of groups like "Jews for Jesus" & "Chosen People Ministries" who have invented a bastardization of two belief systems. That's about as kosher as "Vegetarians for Meat", or "Muslims for Buddha". If you see the missionaries on the street, politiely tell them, as we used to say in Brooklyn, "ba fangul". By the way, if you don't believe exactly like they do (that means you all my Italian (and other) Catholic, Buddhist, Rasta, agnostic & atheistic friends), they believe we are all going to their concept of HELL! Even if I personally disagree with what you believe in, you have the right to believe as you want, and these evangelizing bozos should worry about their own lives instead of ours.
I accept all people, irregardless of race, religion, beliefs, etc. If your goal is to convert me or anyone else to your "one and only true religion", then do NOT friend me. Instead, please realize that you're a control freak who needs to get a life.
