Usphizin, What the bleep do we know? Peace One Day, Pi, Princess Mononoke, Life is Beautiful, The Color of Paradise. Darker movies: Pi, Shine, but not Reqiem for a Dream. Requiem I can appreciate, but I'm not looking to see it again. I would show it to my kids for educational purposes, though. It definitely doesn't glorify drugs. I'd wait until they were closer to 18 to sit them down for as complete a discourse as I can manage on Hunter S. Thompson and the american dream before showing them Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas... (it shows the (self) destructive nature of the forces that dominate american culture, by the way).

Moses, Abraham, Ghandi, King David, MLKing if I had to pick specific heroes. Anyone who's playing for the real, and has hints of the universe: of love. Anyone not afraid to be themselves, despite the risk of being unpopular or persecuted. Mother Teresa too. With the cards she was dealt, she made the most of her life. Definitely a hero. B"H<
