About Me

Amanda Sedgwick was born in Stockholm, Sweden and graduated from the Royal University College of Music in Stockholm in 1995. She has played with Walter Booker, Philip Harper, Johnny O´Neal, Ingrid Jensen, Kermit Walker, as well as many notable Swedish musicians, like Rolf Ericson, Sture Nordin, Bernt Rosengren, Lina Nyberg, Maggi Olin, and more. Apart from playing the alto and leading her own groups, Amanda also writes music. A selection of her songs are recorded on "Reunion", a CD issued by Touché Music featuring Philip Harper. Amanda can be heard with her quartet featuring Daniel Tilling on piano, Martin Sjöstedt on bass and Moussa Fadera on drums, as well as with her new septet Delightness. Amanda teaches music theory and jazz ensemble at the Royal University College of Music in Stockholm.
