Bands are often formed with the intention to play a specific style of music or to fit into a certain genre. From the beginning, Down the Martyr decided to make music for themselves, regardless of whether or not it could be labeled. Though most of their music has metal influences, classifying it as such would be an understatement.
Members of the group have been in bands for over a decade. Through the years they have been perfecting their live show and the result is nothing less than entertaining. Whether it is the music, stage presence, or comedic skills of their front man, DtM knows it must be an all out performance. Members of DtM have proven themselves playing shows with such acts as: Clutch, Finger Eleven, Killswitch Engage, Mudvayne, My Chemical Romance, Nothingface, Powerman 5000, Shadows Fall, Type O Negative, and Underoath.
Down the Martyr continues to blur the boundaries between genre’s, letting nothing confine them.
