The Pittsburgh Rock Press

About Me

Created in the summer of 2004, Bob Wisenor - Owner/President/Editor In Chief saw a void in the music scene. With The rock N roll Reporter folding a few years back, Pittsburgher's had nothing to let them know what was going on with the local music scene. Artists had no publication that they could call their own and something that supported them.
The Pittsburgh Rock Press was born.
In October 2004, The 1st issue of The PRP was released to the public. Since then Bob Wisenor and Vice President/Graphic Artist - Dale A. Mccune were judges for the 2005 Hard Rock/K-Rock Winter Rock Challenge in February, and have dealt with production companiesd about bringing The PRP to television. They are in the midst of setting up an annual "Best Of the Burgh" competition voted on by the people to be published in every January issue of the magazine. Letting us all know who was the Best Of The Burgh that year.
The Pittsburgh Rock Press continues to grow, with a highly successful website aimed at being the center point of the music community in Pittsburgh with links and information for most of musicians needs, The PRP truly is "Your Guide To all Things Music" in Pittsburgh.
