Pittsburgh Xplosion Fans! Basketball Fans PITTSBURGH, September 26, 2007 – The Pittsburgh Xplosion made a total of five selections in the 22nd annual CBA College Draft last night, selecting two forwards and three guards.

Round 1 (5th Overall) – Justin Cage – 6-6, 225 – Forward – Xavier

Cage is a tenacious defender. He was selected to the Atlantic 10’s All-Defensive Team for three straight seasons. He averaged 10.5ppg and 5.4rpg in his senior season. Cage had a career-high 25 points on 8-of-8 shooting in the NCAA Tournament Second Round game against Ohio State.

Round 2 (15th Overall) – Trey Johnson – 6-5, 218 – Guard – Jackson State

Johnson was an originally an early entry candidate for the 2006 NBA Draft before withdrawing his name. He was named Southwestern Athletic Conference Player of the Year as a senior, averaging 27.1ppg, good for second best in the nation. Johnson exploded for a career-high 49 points at UTEP in the Sun Bowl Tournament.

Round 4 (35th Overall) – Terrence Roberts – 6-9, 228 – Forward – Syracuse

Roberts recorded 37 double-digit scoring games in his career with the Orange and had 13 double-doubles. Roberts is a quick leaper with a strong and athletic frame. He is able to run the floor and fill the lanes in transition.

Round 5 (45th Overall) – Ron Lewis – 6-4, 200 – Guard – Ohio State

Lewis played his final two seasons with the Buckeyes after transferring from Bowling Green. He hit the game-tying three that forced overtime in their win over Xavier in the NCAA Tournament. Lewis scored 12 points in the NCAA Championship game against Florida.

Round 6 (55th Overall) – Antonio Graves – 6-3, 190 – Guard – Pittsburgh

Graves averaged 9.2ppg for the Panthers in his senior season. He was a part of a very successful program, helping Pitt to four NCAA Tournament appearances and four 20-win seasons. Graves is a solidly built guard who has the ability to drain the three, shooting over 40 percent from beyond the arc in his senior season.
