Rimini Bakery

Pittsburghs Favorite Italian Bread

About Me

Rimini Inc. is one of Pittsburgh's oldest and most successful bakeries. Originated in 1950's East Liberty, Rimini bakery quickly became Pittsburgh's most delicious and talked about bread. Italian Americans everywhere quickly began to realize that they might not be in the old country anymore, but they sure could eat like it. Rimini bakery is a family owned establishment and has been baked by the same group of Italian Americans since the 60's and 70's. Rimini bread is all natural and every piece of dough is hand rolled to perfection. From their famous big split, to the best hamburger buns in the burgh. One of Rimini's Italian bakers was quoted saying, "Not just anyone can make bread. Rolling bread is an art form and takes years to learn. Sometimes forever." And if you take one look at their braided twist, you quickly realize why. From pizza shops to restaurants all over Pittsburgh, many chefs and business owners will only serve their food with Rimini bread. So next time you go out for a sub or a slice a sicilian and think to your self, this is some good bread, chances are your eating Rimini. At the moment Rimini bread is only sold locally and can be purchased in most Pittsburgh supermarkets and delis. But even though their store front no longer exists, the bakery itself is still at its original location. Though the most common way to purchase Rimini bread is in stores, some customers still enjoy picking up there bread straight from the oven. So if you have a little old fashion in you and love the taste of fresh warm italian bread, take a stroll down and ask one of the Pizzonia brothers for a fresh split. Guarantee you wont find bread like this anymore. At least in the states you wont. So instead of paying hundreds on a plane ticket to Calabria Italy, grab a fresh loaf of Rimini bread, and let Calabria Italy come to you. PUT YOUR ABOUT ME SECTION HERE!
