o Ok then...here's some other peoples opinions:
"(Victoria Ferguson) makes Amy Winehouse and Billy Holliday sound like asthmatic children. Great, great stuff." - Patrick Whistler (The Independent)
"You guys (Victoria & Ben) rock!!" - Ace (Skunk Anansie)
"Lovely, Serge Gainsbourg meets Nina Simone..." - Astrid Williamson (Goya Dress)
And since you've had the good grace to read this far here's the official sounding story, written very kindly by a friend of mine...
Victoria Ferguson, originally from Texas (USA) is a Songwriting Performer currently based around Eastbourne, Brighton and England's South Coast. She is a singer and a highly trained Classical Violinist whose background in Jazz and exposure to countless different genres of music are reflected in her "quirky" style of writing/performing. Her music echoes aspects of the 40's Jazz Hall era whilst retaining a modern twist although, interestingly enough, aside from "life and everything in it" Ms Ferguson sites some of her biggest influences in terms of music, stye and persona as Dave Ghrol, Steve Tyler, Jason Mraz, Raul Midon and Nina Simone.
Victoria has recently formed a duo with Guitarist Ben Ingall (unofficially dubbed 'the Laws Of Eden project'). The duo are currently gigging and creating a storm around the South Coast whilst attempting to forge a career out of their unique, original material and style. They have been cusing a stir meia-wise (especially after their most recent sucess in the Beat The Mix competitions), performing for TV sessions (the video from the ITV session can be viewed below) and live radio sessions inbetween planning the release of their forthcoming EP.
