About Myself
I am highly motivated with any project that aims for quality involving innovative and focused people, and have both a genuine passion for the creative and business of the music industry. I have set up a business called Black & Gold Functions which provide function music, aiming for 'record label quality' at an affordable price to the standard client. I have done this with the aim to sustain a living, whilst pushing my playing & creative faculties, gaining knowledge of what the essence of the 'show business' is about, and hope this provides a stepping stone into the commercial music industry.
Experience:I Have played with and written for original artists & regularly gig own material, Including playing in Mascara's Band (www.myspace.com/mascaramyspace), I have also played with Nathan Watts (Bass player - Stevie Wonder, Jackson 5) and Coolio.
I Have played various Brighton venues with extensive gigging experience including The Concorde II , The Sanctuary Cafe, The Joogleberry , residencies in The Komedia & gigs in Various London Venues including The KOKO The Pigalle & weekly residencies at Carling Academy , The Loop Bar, The Sway Bar, Brighton Coalition, The Abacus Bar, and monthly Residencies at the Troubadour. Have also played residency XFM gigs, & the Official 2008 Celebrity Big Brother Hijack Wrap Party and have played with The Hoosiers at Spring Break UK (Spain). Have had recording experience in Metway Studios (Brighton) and Miloco Studios (London). I have am set to be playing glastonbury 2009. I have also have ongoing work with Channel 4.I am the director of a company 'Black & Gold Functions' (www.blackandgoldfunctions.com), and regularly Musically Direct set ups for live shows.
I'm looking for any opportunity to expand my career, and to gain a more detailed and thorough understanding of the music industry, music business, creativity and innovation.
