Dean Miller - "Right Now"
I had this bio up for a while that was written by someone else about me. I thought it would be better to just post some stuff about myself in my own words. It’s a lot more down to earth, that way.
I am a singer and songwriter, born into a musical family. My Dad was the late Roger Miller, who is most known for his song “King of the Roadâ€. He also wrote a ton of hits for other artists, as well as a Broadway play called “Big River†that won seven Tony awards. I spent a long time trying to fill those shoes, before I finally realized he only wore a size eight and a half!
I have lived in Nashville for a long time, now. I’ve had three record deals, a ton of songwriting deals and a bunch of songs recorded by other artists, including George Jones, Trace Adkins, Terri Clark, Joe Nichols, Steve Holy, Mark Chesnutt, Hank Williams III and more. I guess you could say I hit the big time and bounced right off!
All of the music you hear on my page I produced or co-produced. Most of it I wrote. All of it I sang. I have produced several projects for labels, both major and indie. I have worked as a singer, songwriter, music publisher, producer, song plugger and yes, even dog trainer!
Currently, I pitch songs for several songwriters and a couple of music publishing companies. I travel a lot, love my three dogs and really dive into any new adventure I can find.
It would mean a lot to me if you would take a few minutes to listen to the music I have worked so hard on. It would mean even more if you bought some. Your purchase keeps my rent paid!
Drop me a note and let me know what you think. Thanks for listening!
