Danny Mayer

Danny Mayer grew up around Ft. Lauderdale Florida but has lived all over the country for the past 10 years. He started playing guitar @ age 15 and has been influenced by various teachers, including jazz guitarist Steve Giordano from Philadelphia, and classical guitarist Jesse Hale from Gainesville, Florida, but Danny is still mostly self-taught. He loves improvising, acoustic or electric, finger style or picking, and takes music very seriously but is not afraid to just relax and have some fun! Danny has deep soul, great chopps, original ideas, and refined, & tasteful lines that drip with obvious musical intuition. Danny is currently living in the Santa Cruz, California area with his beautiful wife Amy, genius daughter Isabelle, insanely funny son Jaden, and crazy dog Sadie. He is currently studying at Cabrillo College pursuing a degree in music. He has also been workin up some serious Organ Trio music with good friends Emery Nelson on drums and Kris Yunker on Hammond Organ! Keep an eye out for upcoming shows in the Bay Area!
