WELCOME TO BLAZIN' BANDS!
Blazin Bands was originally created to help the bands of the SW Ohio Music Scene network and learn more about promotion, booking, increasing and maintaining their fan base, street teams, merch ideas, band page ideas, running your band like a business, show etiquette and so much more!!! Due to the huge response to the original Blazin Bands myspace, this page was set up to assist bands not from the local area who routinely sent me an add request on the original Blazin' page.

If you are looking for a gig in the SW Ohio area, you have the following options:
1. Message me the following info and I will bulletin it from my local Blazin page to bands and musicians and other industry professionals in SW Ohio:
- Your band name
- Band banner that is clickable to your band page
- Location (City & State)
- Genre(s)
- Days/Dates you are looking to book

3. I am also an affiliate for Burke's Booking. I am always looking for bands to play shows in the Dayton, Columbus and other areas of Ohio and beyond. Please Click Here for the most up-to-date list of available, paying gigs. My calendar is updated weekly, but that blog is updated at least every other day. The gigs I book for Burkes' are paying gigs, but require a booking fee from you. It is imperative that you email me the following info at [email protected], if you have not done so already. CURRENT TIP:
HOW TO FIND BANDS TO PLAY WITH YOU
1. Go do a myspace music search.
2. Select the GENRE of the band you want to play with you. Ideally, pick the genre closest to your music FIRST. If you can't get anybody, try your second closest genre, etc.
3. Search for results within 10 miles of the venue's zip you are playing, or a general zip code of the area you want to play.
4. Sort the results by PLAYS, NOT the number of friends the bands have. (As we all know, myspace whores don't come to shows, much to many musicians' dismay ;-P)
5. Start at the top, and work your way down.
If the bands can't play with you at that time, you can still befriend them and ask them to consider you for future gigs.
