WHAT IS BLAZIN' BANDS?
This page contains alot of information to help bands and musicians succeed in this industry, mostly via my blogs. The people who are already friends here do alot of networking and helping each other out.
WHO DO I ACCEPT?
I accept bands and musicians of any genre provided you are located within 100 miles of Dayton, Oh. If you are from farther away I can't add you. This page is run by one woman and unfortunately I just don't have time to help people from farther away than that.
At this time I am not accepting requests from anyone who is NOT a band or a musician unless they are referred to me by someone I know well. This goes for any type of 'agency' - booking, promotion, production companies etc. There are too many unscrupulous people in this business and I need to protect the integrity of this page. This is the best way I know how to do that.
Make sure you send me an add request from your personal page as well as your band page. If you don't, you'll miss out on the booking opportunities I send out as well as other information and special deals I negotiate for my bands. Just because you can read bulletins on your band page now doesn't mean you'll be able to do so in a few months.

This page was created to offer advice and to coach bands on how to promote themselves better, improve their networking skills, book more shows and SO MUCH MORE.
In addition to my blogs I provide numerous other services to local musicians, venues and other industry professionals including:
--- I send bulletins promoting bands and other music industry related businesses and websites. These are important for building your industry contacts. If you want to be included make sure you email me your band info. Effective 6/1/08 I will not post bulletins promoting any band who has not emailed me their info. --- If you are looking for more gigs, other bands for a gig you are putting together or bands to play your venue, let me know. I will need a myspace url other people can contact you at as well as the gig details.
--- I send bulletins advertising local shows. To get your shows added, just send me your show banner OR all the details (genre/date/venue/address/etc) and I'll help spread the word!
--- I have blogs devoted to local venues, photographers, merch makers, graphic artists, studios and other industry people. If you are looking to hire one, take a look and see which of these types of people have added their info.
