I'm a single/divorced mother of two daughters, my youngest daughter is a burn survivor she has had many medical problems since the accident at the age of 12, she is now 16. Which means she is treated as a Pediatric patient. She has been in UK Childrens Hospital (University of Kentucky) numerous times. It's a great hospital but the older children seem to be left out a lot. They have books, movies, music, games, art projects, all kinds of activities but all geared for the younger children. In December of 2007 my daughter had 2 MRI's and a CT Scan at Lexington Diagnostic. We knew from the previous year to bring a Music CD with us but we forgot. Well it didn't matter because all the CD's were worn out and the CD players broken, so they had a make shift head set with medical tubing and stuff hooked up to FM Radio and she had to settle for that. While I was sitting there I remembered how a friend had told me she was told that at Shriners the older children tend to get left out at this time of year (Dec.) My oldest daughter went to Shriners Hospital here in Lexington for 4 years, but she was much younger at the time. Well I started thinking why is it we only do what we do at Christmas time ie: toys for tots etc and not through out the whole year. So this is were my daughter and I came up with "TUNES FOR TEENS".

CVS is a devastating and debilitating disease that takes so much from the lives of patients and those who care about them. And, yet, despite the suffering Heather has so many inspiring stories of courage, hope, and triumph, Heather is my Hero!
~ SO HERE'S HOW IT WORKS ~
If you would like to donate a CD New or gently used, A Demo CD, Any genre as long as it doesn't have a parental advisory on it or doesn't qualify for one, CD players, headphones etc, you can mail it to the address below. And we will hand delivery them to UK Childrens Hospital, Shriners Hospital, Lexington Diagnostic and any other place we can think of or that someone recommends.All donations will be kept tracked of and listed on here.
Basically delivering CD's won't be anything more than taking them along with us on our many visits. Even if we only get a handful of CD's it better than anything we could do on our own. It's a great way to get your music out there and heard, ya never know who will come across your CD, its great publicity!
