Darkness Foretold

Darkness Foretold formed as Warning Shot in October of 2003 in Hampstead Maryland, with the intent of playing an original variety of experimental metal. After the original singer left the band the 4 original members- Joe Holbrook- guitar, Jeff LeRoy- guitar, brothers Kevin Miller - bass, and Greg Miller- drums, decided to re-format the bands sound by enlisting Kris Buchman as the new front man and voice. With this new sound and sonic direction the band then decided to incorporate a new name to embody the next chapter in the bands growth. With new vision and drive the band now combines blistering fast thrash metal with various influences ranging from European melodies to the power and groove of straight American metal. In 2005 the band released its first demo to rave reviews, and rabid fan devotion. Containing live and sound stage songs- the EP entitled live at the institute was the first taste of the new sound of Darkness Foretold. The song Harvest of Treachery from that EP/Demo was put onto 2 nationally distributed samplers and catapulted the band into one of the new artists to look out for in the local scene.
As 2006 entered the band continued to play and tour tirelessly throughout the tri- state area, playing festivals, parties, and showcases anywhere and everywhere people were willing to listen. In the fall of 2006 the band entered the studio once again to record a follow up to their debut EP. With new songs, and sharpened skills they quickly and thoroughly recorded and released The Stonewall EP later that year, once again to rave reviews and even more fan fare. The title track Stonewall is a head banging thunderous fan favorite and continues to track well where ever its played. Featured and distributed again on National heavy metal samplers both Stonewall and the single Vengeance found them have become requested favorites on both internet radio and various online sites.
Darkness Foretold is a band with vision and determination. A sound that will crush your soul, have you moving the entire time you hear themand leave you wanting more. Whether live or recorded they are an un-relenting sonic assault. A fun ride no matter what your musical taste, the melody and groove will keep your head bobbing and toes tapping the entire ride to work or the entire set on stage.
