How I made my profile:
I used Dave & Jay's amazing myspace profile editor . Me? Depends on what you want to know and why. I can be boring or mysterious, or an open book. I pride myself on adaptablity. I'm Sicilian and damn proud of it! Most of my family is traced back to Palermo and Enna.
I have traveled extensively thanks to almost ten years in the military. Eight years with the 82nd Airborne Division and the last two with 75th Ranger Regiment. Seen more than my share of both ends of the spectrum of war and peace in two different conflicts. I prefer peace since I got too many scars from war thanks very much!
I am a budding author, mainly of Science Fiction/Fantasy. I have one original novel already published, and the sequel to that is in print production. I've decided to self-publish the rest of my works since most publishing comanies want nothing to do with unknown or un heralded authors. I have three Star Wars themed stories up on fanfiction.net under the pen name of rangermike.
I'm in the process of writing an adult oriented, futuristic/fantasy book with Elves/Werewolves/Vampires and Dragons all wrapped into one. Not to mention many different Alien Species. I've completed three novels in this series since it's original work and gives me more leeway in playing with the characters and plot. The violence and language is intensely graphic as are the love scenes but I'm a romantic at heart so they blend well within the frame of the story. I do quite a bit of research when I write and try to be as accurate as I can in describing things and history. This latest series revolves around the previously unknown son of King Leonidas of Sparta and the mystique surrounding the Spartan way of life. I've added my own little Sci-fi/Fantasy flare to that and developed a history and background with Werewolves and Vampires being the primary antagonists. Keeps the creative juices flowing!
When I got out of the military I discovered there wasn't much use for unemployed infantry soldiers who jumped out of airplanes for a living so I went back to school and got my degree. I now have a Computer Programing Degree, which in upstate NY where I reside, does not translate to a whole lot of money! So much for Hilary's many promises.
I am a “Yudansha†with a rank of “First Dan†(1st Degree Black Belt)in the Martial Art of Aikido, studying the “Yoshinkan†style, studying first in North Carolina, and continuing in New York. I hold an Open Water Deep Diver Certification with The Professional Association of Diving Instructors, PADI, with a Secondary Certification in Night Scuba Diving. I have participated in organized dives in the Red Sea, The Gulf of Mexico, and the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. I led a dive on a Chinese freighter sunk in 169 feet of water outside the Caribbean entrance of the Panama Canal, and a German World War II U-boat off the coast of North Carolina.
I'm an outdoors person and I have a strong affinity for wolves.I have adopted three wolves over the course of the years through Wolfpark.org. I've managed to see them several times since.
Aside from all that... I'm a pretty boring person!
