Featuring former members of Toe to Toe and Crank, new four-piece Stereo City serve up a debut EP that benefits immensely from the band's experience in other groups. There is none of the hesitation here that usually accompanies a debut EP, and no slip-ups in either playing or production. We're treated to five rocky, old school punk songs that find their mark every time - drawing on classic sounds like the Clash or, perhaps, Radio Birdman. 2006 will undoubtedly be a successful year for Stereo City: they seem to have got the balance between professionalism and good ol' fashioned rocking just right.
