I started playing rhythm guitar back in the 80's and was into AC/DC, PRIEST, MAIDEN, and the like. Then DOKKEN came along and 'BAM' I was into 'HAIR BANDS'! After several bands that went nowhere, I formed 13THIRTEEN and was really cool cus we had a fresh new sound and seemed like we would go somewhere. Check me out! (also with the singer from 13Thirteen ) was finally gigging regularly and we just finished a DEMO CD, but..............as with so many bands in Portland, Or, we broke up after four years. The usual reasons---musical differences, creativity ebb, arguing all the time--felt more like a job and for me just wasnt fun anymore.I am currently working on a new band project. The drummer, other guitar, ( NAKED TODD ) and I have remained together to work on a NEW SOUND--John ( Guitar ) and I will share vocals. YOU CAN CHECK OUT OUR OLD BAND ON http://www.garageband.com/artist/nakedtodd22.............YES , ITS A SLAM ON ME, BUT WE GOT STUCK WITH THE NAME FROM SOME FRENCH GUY!!!*** New music will be more like our roots--( Thin Lizzy, Van Halen, AC/ DC )--just good solid rock. We have different bands that influenced us but the main thread is the same. Anyway, I'll take over the main vocals with John backing me up and a few lead vocals to add. My style is more blues based ( Ray Gillen, Paul Shortino, etc.. ) and John ( AC/DC, Creedence ) I play guitar with a lot of 'feeling' rather than technique--I'm a bit lazy, but my hero's are George Lynch, Jake E. Lee, Steve Lukather, and Ace Frehley. There are a lot of others that I admire but those 4 are my top favorites. John seems to bounce from Angus Young to Kirk Hammett. Gabe also plays guitar and bass and is heavily influenced by Eddie Van Halen. The new stuff is going to rock and will be up here soon, until then...............tilt one back and rock on!
