Koichi Hayakawa is from Japan. He has been playing the guitar for over 25 years now, and he was already teaching guitar and music composition at the age of 17.
In August of 2000, Koichi released two singles, "Speed" and "Crush", available from music download websites on the internet. In 2003 "Speed" became the number one downloaded song in the Instrumental Rock section of MP3.com, followed by "Crush" which became the number one downloaded song in the Instrumental Metal section. At the time, MP3.com was the largest music download website.
Koichi has since released two additional singles, "Light in the Darkness" and "Break the Silence", and is ready to release his new album, "Koichi Hayakawa", completed in early 2008. The new album also includes his re-mastered singles. koichi's album is now available from the iTunes Music Store, among other music download websites.
