"Join the force of the Darkstar as we melt down the world. You know we will." -- the band's web site
Description: This bad-assed band’s self-titled CD was a hit on WorldWide-Radio.com and Cosmicradio.com and they intend to make their way into your home next! For true rockers only.
Latest News: This version of the band DarkStar was formed in 1989 during an eclipse of the sun. They intended to play only originals, but soon fell into the trap of the cover bars. After almost four years of playing out three to six nights a week, they switched back and wrote their debut self-titled CD in only three months. Recording was done in 10 hours. The resulting CD garnered quite a bit of attention from the media and the Biz. In 1996 the band was named a semifinalist in Musician Magazine’s unsigned band competition. DarkStar recently signed with an indie record label to record an AC/DC tribute CD from Milan. Then they took a break for family illness. While Tragically their master was stolen, they pushed on and won a lawsuit and are waiting collections. Now they are back and expect to release a new CD.

Music has always been a place where anything is possible - a refuge, a magical world where anyone can go, all kinds of people can come together, and anything can happen. We are limited only by our imagination. We believe that what we do and learn inside the world of music can affect what goes on in the world in a big, positive way. Music is so important - like food and water. There are so many possibilities, and many doors yet to be opened.

DarkStar Live Squealer

This Video is DarkStar at practice getting ready for the studio. We came off a 4 year road trip. When all the Jobs were close to an end, we were not taking any more offers. We were burnt out of the road. Our original intent was to write and produce our own music. We got a 4-year sidetrack. Then we just needed a break. 4 people went in 4 directions. We were still friends but the music thing was on hold. About 6-8 months rest, There was a band meeting. It was quick. Everyone showed and we set out to do what we started out to do. We rented the place that you see in the video. Steel walls, Great for a METAL Band. This video goes inside our practice that was closed. I took the worst mistakes I could find and put them in so you could see just what it takes to put out a CD. In one of the scenes you will notice that Our Bass player ( Bob ) Broke 2 Bass strings. Also you will able to tell we had a lot of fun.
