About Me

Ok, so some of you know me, and most of you don't. My name's Daiv ( Dave, Daithi, Daibhidh ) Patterson and this is where you'll hear some, if not all, of my music...... I can also be found on Myspace here as Skyward...... I'm most often thought of as a Bass player ( though I've been playing Guitar almost as long ), having played in local Seattle groups Discovery ( with Super Deluxe guitarist John Kirsch & Held Under guitarist Pat Stevens ), .... Confused?!, .... The Morning Field, .... Anodyne ( with Harris Thurmond of Hammerbox, Brad Mowen from Sweaty Nipples, and Steve Mack from That Petrol Emotion, they later changed the name from Anodyne to Marfa Lights ), .... Theremin ( with master Luthier Frankie Montuoro on guitar and studio ace Tim Valley on drums ) , .... Haywire ( later known as Radio Nationals ), and after a 2 year break in playing, .... Treble Lift. .............. I switched to Guitar permanently and Vocals during my time in Treble Lift, and after a few line up changes ( Pat Stevens and I being the only members to be in the band the whole time ), we packed it in. I'm really proud of the stuff we recorded and the songs we wrote, but it was time. ............ After that I jammed for a few months with Duffy Delgado, Tod Hobart, Tim Valley, Charlie Deitrich, & Pat Stevens, who are some friends and former band mates from previous bands. I worked out a few good ideas that I'm keeping for whatever band I'm in next while playing with these guys, and I send them much love and appreciation. .......... I played lead guitar with Johnny Illness for a year after that and we recorded a few good tunes. The first demo was probably the most "pro" sounding recording I've ever been part of. ......... Recently, I did a 2 month stint with Martian that was fun as well. ........ Most of what you hear on this page is either stuff I've created on my computer, or recordings of songs that I've written and were recorded with others or former bands. ............................................................ .............Lastly, I'm lobbying my former band members in Johnny Illness to allow me to put a copy of the song 'She's so Mine' on here. It was written by J.I. singer and other guitarist Jeff McDermot, but I wrote the parts that I played on it and am really proud of that song and how we all sounded. If you have an extra few minutes on here, go to the Johnny Illness link in my friends section, show 'em some love, and have a listen. That's probably the best representation of what my actual Guitar and Amp set up sounds like in a band context, AND They're really swell folks as well. ...............1/12/08 - Ok! I got permission from the wonderful folks in Johnny Illness to add 'She's so Mine' as you can see, or even better, HEAR! My thanks to them, and you for checking out my page. Now all I need is to get playing with others again! Cheers!I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

Ok, I am reinstating the song TheraHead. Why? First, because it's one of my favorite songs from my Treble Lift days, and it's a bit heavier than most of the other stuff I have here. Second, it was wri...
