From 1995 until they split in 2003, Paul was lead singer, songwriter and driving force behind Mansun, of one of the most innovative British bands of their time. Mansun had a prolific output, producing fifteen hit singles and four albums. Their debut album ‘Attack of The Grey Lantern’ went to Number 1 in the charts, but their follow up, the legendary ‘Six’ was possibly their bravest and best work. However, for many, Mansun’s finest moments were their live gigs.
Since Mansun split Paul has been busy writing and producing an album for the 90's indie rock band singer Skin, from Skunk Anansie.
He has also worked in a production role for brit band Komakino, (now renamed You Animals), and has recently completed production work with Catherine Anne Davies.
Paul is now concentrating on his solo work. So far all that has been made public is a dance track for the Ministry Of Sound which was a take on Mason's 'Exceeder' This featured new lyrics and Paul's vocals, but is not typical of his upcoming work. However, demo's have been heard of his solo project, and are said to be up there with Mansun's best work.
Recently it has been rumoured that Paul has been working with at least one former member of Mansun, although whether this will lead to the band reforming is, as yet, unclear.
