Mechanical Steering about "10:10pm":"This is my first really mature album. I have always wanted to create the album like thisone. It is coherent is sound. Few compositions were even created from the same samples. Theinteresting thing is that half of the sounds used are not music samples at all. I used urbansounds as well as sound of humans and their environment. However, I used them in a way tocreate a compromise between cold, mechanical sounds and harmony with musical spaces. It is amuch more experimental album. Traditional drums are present in only two compositions. Thereare almost no synthetic sounds. A lot is happening in each track. Heavy tracks (Popmusic,Mechanical Steering, Sagarmatha, 10:10pm) are intertwined with light ones (5 Years,Disconnect, Pointless). I knew and felt that I couldn't create anything similar to'Neutrality'. It would have meant a step back. I wanted to discover the spaces I had neverbeen to. I wanted to use my imagination to move one step further. Up till now, I have neverlistened to my own music. I was amazed that I could listen to “10:10pm†every day. I'm verysatisfied with that album and I wouldn't change a tone on it."
Mechanical Steering (earlier Head) - was born in Konin, Poland, in 1981.He started with electronic music in 1999. From then on, he met many different inspiration sources, which still have great results on what he does.
However, all the albums have something common... A characteristic music with heavy sounding, city atmospheres, machines, and people, often connected with soft, calm, and melancholic sounds, although he is still building his own style.Looking on his achievements, since the first amateurish album "Fabrique" to the last one, we can observe how fast he's improving his abilities with music and how it becomes more and more mature, uses more interesting sounds and its surrounding effect increases too.First professional album - Neutrality is compilation of 8 hard and dark ambient songs, which will show exactly what Mechanical Steering (as Head) has been composing for over 8 years of career.Moreover, his interesting personality connected with his interesting outlook and view of the world, his sensitive side and his open-mindedness for new ideas and new collaborations.
