Gil is a self taught guitarist and started playing guitar in 1974 inspired by the music of Neil Young. Starting with Neil Young songbooks Gil quickly progressed to learning songs by ear and then writing and composing songs. Being the child of very young teenage parents meant that Gil was exposed at an early age to all the great rock music of the 1960's and 1970's. In August 2006 Gil discovered YouTube. YouTube inspired Gil to start playing guitar and singing again. For more music videos of Neil Young cover songs as well as originals + John Prine, Tom Waits, ELP, Blind Faith and Buffalo Springfield.
