I'm a native of Brooklyn, NYC who has been living in San Francisco for the past 20 years. I've been in the Entertainment industry in various capacities as a Promoter, Manager, Booker, DJ, Publicist, Soundman, Salesman and Security for bands, clubs, venues, labels, equipment manufacturers, music stores, and record stores during that time. At one time or another I've worked for Guitar Center, Gibson Guitars, Rainbow Records, Sam Goody's, Bill Graham Presents, Maritime Hall, Studio Instrument Rentals, Terminator, Hi-Frequency Marketing, a variety of "Gentlemen's Clubs" and so on. I've written for local music magazines like American Music Press and Bay Arts & Music, a national mag called FACES, and websites like Knac.com. I've been an actor/extra in big-budget films, Tv shows, commercials, and low-budget flicks. My more recent endeavors are listed in My Companies elsewhere on this page, and that now includes my work as a Production Assistant and Videographer for Sterling Media/TKC in Morgan Hill, CA.As the co-promoter/DJ/Booker for the short-lived resurrection of SUSHI SUNDAY SHOWCASES, I won a "Best of the Bay" Award from the SF BAY GUARDIAN in 2004. I've been on almost all of the local TV News programs, having been interviewed for "man on the street" reactions to a variety of subjects, like The World Cup, cellphone cameras in public and private places, local traffic problems, a story about a first-time promoter who ripped off a bunch of bands (including one I was managing), and one or two others. Don't ask me why--I just seem to get asked a lot, and it's fun.
For the past 13 years, my primary endeavor has been and is the underground cable TV show called Reality Check TV (www.realitychecktv.com). (RCTV has also won multiple "Best of The Bay" Awards and an SF Weekly Reader's Poll Award). I'm also back on the internet with a podcast version of Reality Check Radio. I'm sometimes seen at the brand-new BUCKSHOT (X-Alpha Bar 3rd & Geary in SF) DJing, doing security/door at special events, and "regulating" drunk people who do silly things. Sometimes I'm just hanging out, playing Hold 'em, shooting pool, or playing one of the many cool new games they've gotten in recently for fun. I DJ Rock, Punk and Metal at various clubs/events around town, and do MONSTER TRUCK RALLY with my fellow DJ (and new roomate), FERNANDO (in my Top Friends, also see my Blogs for info/updates) at another local haunt, the 540 CLUB on 7th & Clement in SF. And, let's not forget that I'm stage manager/soundman for San Francisco's premier Rock 'n' Blues Band: RATTLECANS!
Besides that, I'm out on the town, in SF, LA, Vegas or NYC trying to get good material for RCTV/Radio!
