Besides the usual stuff in music and entertainment, I like sports, art, history and science. I have a geeky side and can be a Jeopardy! junkie. I am also a fairly decent pool player and depending on where I'm at, I can sometimes be found competing for fun on a house table. I also love cartoons and comic books. Lately, I've been playing a lot of Texas Hold 'em .. at fulltiltpoker.net, as RCTVRADIOACE or at bravotv.com as RCTVACE--so all of you poker addicts come look for me! I suppose I should add that I like to cook and love a good meal, either one I whip up or out at one of my fave spots in the area near my house.

Rock, punk, glam and metal, as well as goth/industrial and the various sub-genres that tie in to all of those. I like what I like and am fairly immune to what anyone else thinks. At this point, I've probably been to 5000+ shows and seen 10's of thousands of bands. Still, I keep hearing bands in all the above genres that I am passionate about! Oh, and everyone should check out my good friend's website: www.richiescarlet.com. RS is THE most underrated player/performer/songwriter out there. Click on his pic in my Top 16 to hear some tunes and get info. Local boys American Heartbreak and I are good pals also, but why YOU SHOULD LISTEN IS BECAUSE OF THE TUNES. Click this banner:
More recently, I've been getting back into the roots of contemporary music with Blues, Jazz, Reggae and so forth. I've long had a secret love for old-school 1960's Soul (particularly Motown) and 1970's Funk. I confess to liking some Rap/Hip-Hop, and even classical/modern day symphonic music, particularly movie soundtrack stuff.
I tend to like Sci-fi, Horror, Drama, Comedy and offbeat stuff, as well as a good Documentary. I'm a big fan of Kevin Smith, Stanley Kubrick, Jim Jarmauch, Martin Scorsese, and local boy Francis Ford Coppola, among others. target="_blank"
Besides my own show, Reality Check TV (yes, I am both on camera and behind it, depending on the situation) I tend to like informational or documentary shows, sports, well-written drama/sci-fi, and cartoon/comedy shows. Most regular TV is boring, and most of the so-called "Reality" TV sucks, except for RCTV, which actually IS real!

I've been into a lot of graphic novels lately, particularly anything edgy and dark. Frank Miller's stuff is awesome. I Read 'Omerta' by Mario "Godfather" Puzo recently, and I have been into non-fiction like 'Fast Food Nation' as well as political and biographical books. I'm a big Hunter S. Thompson (RIP) freak (read 'The Rum Diaries' a while back, awesome) also. I have a good Sci-fi collection and my favorite possession is my complete collected works of Edgar Allen Poe. I recently finished a great non-fiction book called 'CONFESSIONS OF AN ECONOMIC HITMAN' by John Perkins. A must-read for anyone concerned about how multi-national corporations are screwing things up, particularly those involved in the military/industrial complex.
JFK, MLK, Ghandi, Confucius, Michael Moore, Al Franken, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Gene Simmons of KISS, and Lemmy from Motorhead. Oh, and let's not forget George Carlin, Stan "The Man" Lee and [The now late] Hunter S. Thompson. There's others as well, but these are good for starting debates! They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. - Benjamin Franklin
