Who are the Lake Forest 8?
The Lake Forest 8 are eight animal rights activists charged with four misdemeanors each in Illinois for their involvement in the campaign to shut down Huntingdon Life Sciences. Each defendant faces over a year in prison and thousands of dollars in fines for attending two anti-HLS demonstrations in June 2007.
