About Me

chapter II of this sordid tale will appear here shortly and at great length. In the meantime, I leave you with the bare bones....
Death Valley Strays currently consists of Johnny Roulette (Family Smack Off; Heldorado; Thompson Roulette; Transgressors) on vocals, Mark Bishop (Bad Karma Prophets; Thompson Roulette) on guitar/vocals, Jerry Weldon (the Ether Dogs; Threshold of Pain; Tombstone Alley; Betty Rebel; the Repeats) on guitar/vocals & La Cosa Nostra (the Nightporters; Pirates In Love) on drums. I'm sure a bass player will materialize as soon as we get the chant right. Will Platt would have been the obvious choice, but, sadly, he is no longer with us. He's like the parrot in that Monty Python skit. He is, however, missed a great deal more than that old multi-colored stage prop.
We have been working on demos, many of which can be heard here and on our original page at myspace.com/deathvalleystrays. So far it's just been me & Mark. Jerry and La Cosa Nostra will be along shortly. Mark & I have been writing and recording since 2000, beginning as a side project when we were in Thompson Roulette. Jerry was recruited in 2006. La Cosa Nostra joined in November of 2007.

alright, I'm not really a doctor.
