About Me

Just your average nerd. I spend most days (and nights) working on computers, robots or I go out gathering Fish, small crustaceans and plant life from our wonderful gulf. Not really much to tell. I am basically retired, comfortable. I still take on networks for something to do and to keep sharp. Just a big bearded Hippie wandering our Florida waters these days.

My current thing is Hippie with a boat, you buy the gas I'll haul your ass. I dont really give 2 shits for money but I can't afford to buy gas for everyone on my retirement income so I make them top whichever boat off and maybe pick up sodas or something. Most of the time I am using a newer Carolina Skiff Custom Built with lots of deckspace for shallows fishing/snorkeling sightseeing, 10,000 Islands runs, redneck rides Whatever you are up for. Myself I could care less about the big fish (I am into the teeny ones) but I know how to catch bait and enjoy the heck out of snorkeling around while others fish for the big ones And because I am in the water all the time (not on it) I know where the fish are. Much rather go beaching, snorkeling, grass flats wandering or bounce around the 10,000 Islands than fish though. I do a lot of nature tours lately for folks that have never gotten to see a dolphin or a manatee up close and personal. I do enjoy taking people fishing and always make sure they get some fish but I prefer to take the ones who are really going to clean and eat them - I think the whole catch and release thing is cruel in that the fish are put back injured every time and often badly enough they either will not recover and die a slow and what one can only assume would be a painful death. Then there are the fish that get put back bleeding and become instant targets for other fish. (no I aint no tree hugger just watched the catch and release thing too much (from under the water with them)- I believe like my grand-dad did - If'n ya aint gonna eat them or put them in your aquarium... leave them for folks who will) There is nothing more fun to me than wandering the waterways and watching folk's eyes light up when they see all of the life in these waters - Seahorses, Filefish, Triggerfish, Blennies, Gobies, Starfish, Puffers, Shrimp of every color of the rainbow and a whole lot more critters that people just are not normally aware exist. The folks who just want to shoot down past all the houses and see real Florida are next to my top favorite people to have onboard too. I dont mind drunks as long as they are happy drunks - the obnoxious kind need to find a captain that is charging them to put up with it and that damn sure wont be me - stoners are always welcome aboard. I have been known to buy the gas myself if SHE looks good enough.

And if you forgot to pay your favorite marine towing Service and you find yourself stranded in our area... Keep my number handy I will make sure you get home - I dont charge but hopefully you cover the gas but Hey if you got nothing I understand that too. It's been me stuck out there at 2am too many times not to help.

I firmly believe that If you can't deal with that, you probably need to go back to yankee country.

My Interests

Gathering Tropical Fish, Robotics, Biological Filtration systems (mostly aquatic), breeding/raising tropical Fish, Engines of all sizes, solar arrays, just about any engineering problem requiring actual thought, aqua/aero dynamics. Currently I am working with Gulf Coast Crustacean Research trying to identify several micro-critters we have here in our gulf. Also I raise Corals and am providing the space for some of the tanks they keep stuff in. As well as breeding wierd fish, Counting Species in our Gulf and generally having the time of my life. Also I play with deceased Marine Electronics for a break from computers when boating is just not an option.I also Tow old Junk Boats out of Marinas and from Private Parties. Most I give away, Some I play with first and then give away. I try to give them to people working out of labor halls and just out of prison, make sure they know where they can anchor, make sure the bilge pumps work call it good type of thing. We only help the ones I know are trying. if you are looking for a tax break, I would recommend Boat Angel Ministries as they are the only ones I know are helping more than their own pockets. Me, I aint gonna file an NPO I am too retired for these projects to become more than a hobby. One of my Focus areas of study is the life in waters from other areas if anyone feels like sending water/plant samples in any quantity at all, it is Gulf Coast Crustacean Research, 791 Porpoise RD, Venice, Florida 34293. Persons outside the US need to put "water/plant Samples" on the packaging or it will not clear Customs. I am trying to see what micro-crustaceans and other critters that other areas have or lack when compared to our local gulf waters. Also I watch the effects of introducing small quantities of water from other areas into tanks containing cheap corals that I raise for this purpose (IE: does it cause a feeding response, does it cause a withdrawal of the corals) Nothing really organised but the results are usually posted for future reference.

I'd like to meet:

A truly Dominatrix Type Female. No BS tired of the lame ass females who get me tied down and then ask me what to do - Is not the object for the woman to be in control? I am looking to meet the woman who has the guts/sense to know she is in control....... OK.... We know as much as I would like it to(truly is a lifelong fantasy thing): that one aint gonna happen........... So...lets try.... My second choice would be a petite, anorexic, Nymphomaniac who knows how to cook, clean house and identify fish. Must have fuel dock with 9ft of draft at low tide, located in the intercoastal between Venice and Englewood, FL... Must be able to tolerate a man who is rarely home, Broke 1/2 the time, spends every penny after bills on boats or boating, inattentive when he is home, Belches, Farts, snores, rarely cleans, showers twice sometimes 3 times a day never hangs up the towels, Has an extreme IQ and a near photographic memory yet has to be reminded to eat or sleep, keeps all sorts of wildlife in the house not in cages, can't cook unless it has microwave directions or can be thrown on a grill and is just as likely to repair his motorcycle in the living room as not. Send photo of fuel dock ....................................... In case you have not yet figured it out read the following very carefully..... All others - Hey I would rather just hang out and be friends, trade funny jokes, talk about small crustaceans, fish, go boating, beaching, snorkeling, wander around the 10,000 Islands Whatever does not involve computers (the bane of my existence) and all as friends - hey that is the kind of thing I am here for - expect nothing more of me - simple as that. I am not queer, but just not looking very hard either. I do like having female friends and treat them as buddies and equals 100 percent of the time. You hang out with me I promise to talk to you as I would anyone else and expect the same from you. After 47 years on this earth I have learned: It is physically not going to fit anyway; which is very unsatisfying for me. Granted I am male and will more than gladly let a woman try but .........I would really rather just skip that step...move on to being friends / comrades / amigos..... Is that a clear enough explanation of where I stand?

Removed the tuners from my tv's the minute they came in. Besides there are other things I would much rather spend time with than a TV set.

Well after some thought I decided I cant tell you but quite possibly it could be that my favorite book was based on another book whose name allegedly might be based on the book about johnny apple-seed. Further; It could be that the name of my favorite book was possibly and perhaps intentionally re-named and alluded to a popular subculture herbal substance which may have replaced the original aforementioned fruit as a precedent to seed in the title which could have been modified to reflect the spreading of the aforementioned herbal substance across a country located in the Americas possibly in the northern regions. It may possibly be said that the book could have in part been a fantasy about the possibility of certain dogs no longer being trained to smell any of what might be a member of the Cannibus family . Due solely to the abundance of such a plant-type of herb in just about every open patch of ground as a direct or indirect result of seeding the aforementioned plant, perhaps an herb. The text in question could end with a vague reference to the possibility of such a series of events leading every person who may have possession of seeds for the aforementioned herbal type of plant to spread their seeds everywhere and help the possibly fictional person see the reality of such a thing in that persons (who may or may not be probably fictional) Lifetime. It may have been alluded to by a person or representative thereof that the above reference could well be to a very real text: Written by someone who may or may not have been in the employ of a federal judicial bench for some unnamed country possibly in the northern regions of the Americas at the time of its writing. Perhaps it was the only 400 or so pages I truly laughed all the way through.
