The Slowtime Mondays

The Slowtime Mondays history starts in the year 2000. Greg Verdusco (vocals/guitars) and Danny Lucas (bass/vocals) started writing together wanting to form a band of really loud, catchy rock/pop guitar driven songs with a fun live act. After recruiting Kevin Starr on drums, the trio was born. Soon after, they enlisted a second guitar player to the fold making it a four piece. Focusing on their hometown of Los Angeles, the band played extensively from 2000-2004 all over the So Cal area with great attention. Their live shows are always fun, showcasing good vibes and always a connection with the audience. From 2002-2003, the band entered several studios recording songs whenever they could to document their catalog. These songs would somehow come together to form a record. In 2004, their second guitar player left the band, leaving the band a trio in its original state. 2005 saw the release of the Mondays' first release independently put out by themselves sold at L.A. record shops as well as online everywhere! Receiving fantastic reviews, the Mondays' debut disc was praised for its great songs, showcasing the bands strongsuits. In 2006, the band is ready to re-emerge. They are finishing up their second CD entitled COOL YER JETS which will be out in 2008. This release will be a BIG ROCK record, guitars on 11, big hooks, catchy melodies and an overall guitar onslaught!! The band will be performing at the 2008 International Pop Overthrow in Los Angeles. The Mondays are back, and in fine form.
