Influences: Our music is mainly guitar based, with most of our songs being quite simple but telling stories that are personal to us. We've been influenced by loads of other acts, but we think that we have our own sound.
In no particular order, we've listed some musical acts that we like to greater or lesser extents.
Alanis Morissette
Artic Monkeys
The Automatic
Avril Lavigne (before she became all stylised)
The Beatles
Belle & Sebastian (far and away the best ever Scottish band. Apart from us...)

Bruce Springsteen
Counting Crows
Damien Rice
Dave Matthews Band
David Bowie
David Gray

Sounds Like: We sound like The Blue Signs. Well, if we don't, who the hell does? We've taken inspiration from many different artists from the alternative rock and indie music scenes, and we suppose that you might hear a bit of something that you recognise from somewhere. Music is about making connections, so if you can connect our songs with those of others, all the better.
In our own small way, we want to try to make people think about the world outside their door. Everyone is in this life together, so let's keep it that way.
Currently, only a small number of The Blue Signs' songs are available through myspace.com, as we will be returning to the studio over the autumn to develop new material and complete the forthcoming album "You Always Gave Your Best To Me"
