About Me

Born and raised in Canada. 20 years plus experience, in the Vancouver music scene and studio environment as a Drummer, Producer and Arranger. As well as attending Capilano Commercial Music College, I co-owned a Multi-track studio in Vancouver Canada for ten years. During that time, I helped Record, Drum, Produce and Arrange musical compositions for Band projects, TV, Radio and Canadian Government. I moved to Auckland New Zealand ten years ago, to further develop my Producing, Arranging and drumming skills. Since that time I have worked closely with/on top of/under/beside/next to/preformed with or for/Produced/pre-produced/Arranged songs and drummed for many well known and not so well known artists such as Sonic, Norah Jones, Siren Junkies, Runninghouse, Fuser, Topp Twins, Spinner, Undercarriage, John Mayer, Power Rangers, Jordan Luck of the Exponents, Rymes With Orange, Jimmy Barnes, The Running, Graham Brasier and more. Recently awarded with an international endorsement deal with greatly respected cymbal manufacturer PAISTE !!!I am a drummer and I like Bananas... Check out my latest video clips.

My Interests

When I am not Drumming I like to play soccer and go to the beach with my Son. New Zealand has lots of great beaches. Canada isn't really known for it's swimming holes...

Music:

All kinds except for "Oonce-Oonce"... unless of course I can make some money out of it. Do need to be heavily sedated though.

Movies:

Any films involving Drums, Guns and life-like rubber dolls...

Heroes:

Stewart Copeland – Specifically, it is his hi-hat style that has been a great influence to me,as well as his snappy precise attack.Keith Moon – Is the man. His determination behind the kit is extreme. I was always inspired by his constant need and desire to attempt fills just outside the fringe of his abilities…yet, somehow be able to pull it off. Mick Fleetwood – Great groove and feel. His subtle tom shots are unique and always in the most appropriate place in a song.Billy Cobham – Very hard hitter of the drums, yet technically brilliant. Buddy Rich – Makes his drums sing and truly gets the most out of his drums. Was a great performer and front man.Animal from the Muppets – He is Keith Moon without the substance abuse.... so we think anywayMuppet episode - Buddy Rich and Animal drum dual - Changed my life forever. Pete Townshend – Not a drummer, but a great Drummers Guitarist and writer
