About Me

Dr Of Rock Profile Editor
brutally frank are the perfect mix of hard rock and hard work.
This band hit the live scene three years ago and did so with a vengeance.
It was not unusual to see bf playing every weekend at various venues throughout Auckland and the North Island, often in support of higher profile kiwi bands.
Reviewers have described the bf live show as passionate, dynamic, tight and convincing and through relentless gigging the band have built and deliver one of the best live shows you can see locally.
brutally frank are a guitar band, and the sound merges traditional rock values with a more modern alternative flavour, often drawing their sound comparisions with mainstream and hard rock overseas bands while remaining uniquely theirs. You’ll hear alternative rock, punk, pop, and even reggae at a Frank show, and one things for certain – you’ll agree they are hard hitting and aggressive.
More recently, with the release of the debut album “The Finer Details” and under the management of Helen “HD” Welch, the band have started to enjoy the early trappings of commercial success, with the single “Unceasing” winning the Rock Scholarship and also securing video funding through NZ On Air. The album has received critical acclaim through the music press and The Rock and Kiwi have singles on rotate.
The future is bright for brutally frank, the hard rock and the hard work continues……………

THE BASS PLAYER HUNT

Yep - we're hunting a bass player. They seem to be rare beasts, and awfully shy.   However, if you're keen for a jam - call Jeremy Frank 0275 7777 26.
