About Me

After BROKEN HOPE'S last European tour in 2001, guitarist Jeremy Wagner (Broken Hope, Lupara), vocalist/drummer Scott Creekmore (Broken Hope, Lupara, Numskull), guitarist Steve Murray (Fleshgrind), and vocalist/guitarist/Shaun Lacanne (Putrid Pile), got together and formed the band: EARTHBURNER.
EARTHBURNER was formed as a pure grindcore/extreme metal act that left off where BROKEN HOPE ended...EARTHBURNER also pays tribute to legendary bands such as Terrorizer and Napalm Death.
EARTHBURNER recorded a number of unreleased songs at Mercenary Digital Studios in Zion, IL. in 2001-2002.
EARTHBURNER ended up being put on hold as BROKEN HOPE split, Jeremy and Scott focused on LUPARA exclusively, Shaun focused on PUTRID PILE exclusively, and Steve Murray ended FLESHGRIND and pursued other things.
Now, all of the EARTHBURNER members have reconnected and have decided to make EARTHBURNER a reality. Mike "Lurk" Ruehle from FULL BLOWN CHAOS has officially joined as Earthburner's bassist. The band is currently re-recording their original studio songs, and are also finishing up a load of new death-grind songs that will all be recorded as a full-length album. What record label will put this out has not been determined, but the band will get something out no matter what.
Stay tuned for EARTHBURNER songs to be put up on this page along with continuing news!!!!!
*Oh yeah, EARTHBURNER is named after the BROKEN HOPE song by the same name ("Earth Burner" on the Grotesque Blessings album).
