Roxanne is an enthusiastic lover of life and many things. She has been blessed with several talents and is currently focussing on developing her performing singer/songwriter career. She was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. Toronto for the first several years, then Whitby and Oshawa for the later several years before college. Roxanne was raised by her mother and family who are all from Jamaica. She went on to venture from the beautiful Canada to experience and perminantly reside in the amazing America. Roxanne recieved her degree in Boston, MA at Berklee College of Music with a BA in Music Therapy. During her studies Roxanne has worked extensively with special needs individuals of different populations in various therapeutic and educational settings; using music in clinical ways to promote effective change. Roxanne was stationed in Southern California working at Indie label called Sweet Music Records and persuing her -so far independent- music. Currently she is in Central Cali. Roxanne, Rox, Roxy, Roxio, RaRa, Rocky, and Rox Star are names that Mrs. Olvera is also known by. Roxanne has been exposed and immersed in different cultures, world travel, advanced accademic schooling, sports, public speaking and debating, music, philosphy and religions, alternative therapies, and the perfroming arts.
