This Layout Was Provided By Layouts Wow - SEXY MySpace Layouts!Every breath counts...The Second Wind Lung Transplant Association of St. Louis is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization devoted to improving the quality of life for lung transplant recipients, lung surgery candidates, people with related pulmonary concerns and their families by providing support, advocacy, education, information and guidance through a spirit of service.Every year in October we hold our annual funraiser called the Lung Walk. It's a 5K run/walk held in lovely and historic Forest Park. The Lung Walk raises money for the assistance fund which we use to help our members with some of their uninsured medical costs. Can you imagine being critically ill AND having to move to a new city to await a transplant AND have to worry about all your bills?? People really go through amazingly difficult trials and we are here to help take some of the financial burden off. We can't do it without your support though so save the date for this year's event. It's a great morning with great people, a good workout (but don't worry there is also good food!), and hey, you get a tshirt too! What more can you ask for?
