Inspired by the music of 'Rancid, Greenday, and Sublime, "Last Response" formed in Salt Lake City January of 2002 under the moniker 'Plan B', by 'Brandon Hansen, Aaron Evans, and Mike Angelastro. They released their first EP 'Find A Way' in March of 2003 under Ogden record label 'Sandstone Discs', sold close to 500 copies. In 2004 lead guitarist Gregg Hale joined the band, adding a brit rock/space rock flavor to the group. In 2005 they released the EP 'Have You No Sense of Direction' which reflected this new influence and achieved modest critical claim in "Salt Lake City Weekly" and "SLUG" magazine.
In 2005 the band again transitioned into a polished and high energy rock sound, reflecting the influences of 'Television, the Strokes, the Hives, MC5, and the Velvet Underground'. Due to personal reasons the band took a 2 year break from music, until February of 2007. Since then, they've been playing regular monthly gigs attempting to get re-acquainted with the Salt Lake music scene.www.theresponsemusic.com email us at: [email protected]
