About Me

Well,I'd like to start from a 'strange' story:I was born with a semi-total deafness (I hear 100% with one ear,0% with the other),so for a long time in my life I was not interested in music, and I remember that I was listening to the incredible Eddie Van Halen solo in Michael Jackson 'Beat it',like it but I didn't know that was an electric guitar...I think that this is the reason me being left handed,'cause when I started playing was the only direction to take to hear the body of the guitar...sorry for this little pathetic story, but it's my life...Then,at 20,I discovered hard rock and started to play guitar...and now I'm 37 (not so happy for this)Things done in more than 15 years ?Lots of time to recover,so I study, listen, study, listen, stud y,listen...for all my 'free' hours of the day, teaching guitar in my local area for years....and most important enjoying myself playing...Now I've just recorded some demo songs, and works on tons of material in a lot of genres...also I'm writing 2 books:"Chromatonics" & "Speed Picking Applied",and I have materials for others 25 topics that I've discovered in 15 years of studies, some related to guitar and some to music in general.....hope very soon to complete some drafts of these...I love writing booksI also love improvisation & jazz so much...I can't express in words how I feel when I listen to a great improvisor, despite of genres & instruments...On Dec '07,a review of one my demo tunes,"Why Robot" was featured in a page of the great Guitar Player Magazine...so great honor for meThanks so much for reading my little bio,and hope to have time in the future to discover new sounds, maybe from you..."Do or do not...there is no try" (Jedi Master Yoda)Note:As you can hear with no doubt,my spoken English is pretty bad...well I'm self taught not only for guitar but also for english:I learnt it with years of Guitar Player,Guitar Techniques,Guitar World,Guitar School,Guitar For The Practicing Musicians,Guitarist,Total Guitar,Guitar One...and countless books...also some great videos...thanks for your tolerance...Another "strange" note:for most of the time in my guitar-life,I've played with the electric unplugged,'cause I live in a flat an have some problems (as most of us) with neighbours...this is one of the reason me being obsessed with all kind of devices that permit you to have great sound with extremely low volumes...but,imho,the best sound I got was always in the rehearsal room or live, with the loudspekers really moving...that's all for now.......
