MaxDmyz is: Frontman Twister, Skizzy on guitar, Fungacide on 2nd guitar, Pawel on bass, Delphine on vocals and drummer Jamie Tatnell. Shock tactics and fetish performance were the initial focus of the group's live act - and visual and theatrical elements are still central to the impact the band makes time after time on unsuspecting audiences.
Unlike with some other practitioners of the genre, however, music and lyrics are integrated with performance elements, not submerged by them. MaxDmyz is built around aggressive, dark-metal rock with gothic, electronic, industrial and hip-hop overtones, combined with an inclusive artistic and political approach, seeking to extend and confound some cliches and conventions, while first absorbing, then regurgitating others. It's a concept as well as a band.
MaxDmyz's major credits include collaboration with Eminem and Royce da Five Nine (collectively known as Bad Meets Evil) on the 2002 release, Nuttin' to Do, created by Greg Brimson, using 'No control' in its entirety minus vocals as a rock remix.
