My name is Shonda and I learned how to party when I was knee high to a june bug.I have always had a knack for organizing and having parties. (Even used to convince my mama to let me stage my own birthday parties, including decorating my own cake!) From a giant family with plenty of need for weddings, baby showers, proms, graduation parties, birthdays and anniversaries. After cutting my party teeth with my relations, have gone on to producing fashion shows, concerts, art shows and more.As a licensed cosmetologist and trained make up artist I have ran my own business (since 1991) worked as a platform artist, worked with models and TV personalities for photo shoots and TV.As my alter ego "Ignition" I am vice president of the Sacramento Craft Mafia. I have opportunities to stage events for them with local venues and galleries.I work also with Willemina's in Old Town Sacramento, the area's premier restaurant and night club specializing in roots and rockabilly music. Silly stuff you might want to know about me:1. Yes, I can make a wedding cake. 2. I know how to make the perfect bruise with make up. 3. I could throw a party with seriously ANY theme. Seriously. Try me!!!!!!!! 4. I can and will make a silk purse out of a sows ear. 5. When mama told me I could grow up and be anything I want, I decided I would grow up and be a latina named "Rosa". All I knew is my hair would be very long and black. 6. I started staging fashion shows when I was 10. My arsenal of barbies would get hair and make up treatment, altered clothing and walk a catwalk made from a card board box with a red satin skirt over the top. 7. I firmly believe that champagne SHOULD be sipped from saucers and not flutes. 8. I think camping is when you stay in a 2 star hotel. 9. I think most drag queens have excellent fashion sense and believe that more is more. 10. The only celebraties I have ever dreamed about have all been rock stars.
