The Hep Cat Boo Daddies

High Energy Power Swing Rock n Roll

About Me

With frontman Joel Dasilva's mix of both Chicago and Texas style blues guitar, as well as his wide variety of influences combined with Evil's hard driving bass lines and Randy Blitz's hard hitting backbeats (and old school New York punk rock attitude), this band quickly gained a reputation as one of the best bands around.
They are known for their raw edged and unique style and have won many awards. They incorporate a wide variety of styles including blues, rock, surf, funk, and rock-a-billy for a great combination of high energy rock that electrifies their fans, who affectionately refer to them simply as "The Boo Dads." The unique hybrid style of the band is appealing to a wide variety of music lovers who are ready for something besides straight blues or rock.
The Hep Cat Boo Daddies have had the pleasure of opening for such legendary acts including:
B.B. King ~ Jimmie Vaughan ~ ZZ Top
The North Mississippi Allstars ~ Etta James
Johnny Winter ~ Egar Winter ~ Leon Russell
The Reverend Horton Heat ~ Pat Travers
Robby Krieger Band ~ Fabulous Thunderbirds
Their debut CD titled "Long Time Comin" was released in October 2002.
They have just release their brand new Cd "hotrodsexgod" in 2007 and a DVD "Invasion of the Hep Cat Boo Daddies".
Awards received by the Hep Cat Boo Daddies:
