Authors: Aquinas, C.S. Lewis, Chesterton, St. Exupery, Tolkien, George Orwell, Cortazar, Borges, Garcia Marquez, Dickens, Oscar Wilde, Hemingway, Umberto Eco, Hermann Hesse, Bernard Shaw, Josef Pieper, Goethe, etc. etc. any history book I can get a hold of, especially German, French (I know) or Russian, belle epoque era authors are my escapade, modern philosopher's works are great.
My favorite of all times: Friedrich Nietzche (I don't agree with his Marxist and aethist views though), "Twilight of the Idols", "Thus Spake Zaratusthra". You don't have to agree with Nietzsche’s criticisms and dialectical views on other past philosopher's viewpoints, but what he argued as cultural "decadence" as a result of philosophers, such as Socrates/Kant influence on the human sociopolitical pre-disposition surpasses anything I have ever read. I have yet to read somebody who questioned the ontological and existential establishment of earlier philologists as he did. In fact, his critic on “cultural decadent†influences from philosophers such as Socrates, Plato, Kant, etc., is clearly visible in today’s mundane/plebian anti-culture society. He is also witty and extremely amusing to read. Any suggestions are welcome... Also, I forgot to mention that I like lots of poets...(i.e Yaets, Blake, Rumi, Lodge, Lorca, and so many others)
