Victor Biglione consagrou-se no Brasil e no estrangeiro como um dos maiores guitarristas e violonistas da atualidade, conquistando o reconhecimento do público e dos críticos. O músico foi o único brasileiro a participar no New York Guitar Festival no segundo semestre de 2002 nos EUA, onde também foi consolidar sua prestigiosa parceria com o ex-Police Andy Summers, gravando o segundo CD do duo, Brazil Splendid, em Los Angeles. O trabalho reúne apenas clássicos a MPB com músicas de Tom Jobim, Milton Nascimento, Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso e Cartola, entre outros. Biglione e Summers já haviam lançado, em 1998, o CD String of Desire pela BMG Internacional. Outro importante momento da sua carreira - seu CD gravado há mais de 10 anos e ainda inédito com a inesquecível Cássia Eller, Victor Biglione e Cássia Eller in Blues: If Six was Nine – um trabalho de Blues, Rock e Jazz, selecionado e reconhecido pelos críticos como um trabalho de nível internacional. O músico já negocia com a Universal o lançamento para esse ano do CD. Participou nos últimos dez anos dos principais festivais de jazz em vários continentes entre eles o Free Jazz por cinco vezes, o Festival de Montreal por quatro vezes, o New York Guitar Festival, entre outros, além de ter se apresentado mundo afora como convidado especial de importantes músicos brasileiros. Compôs ainda várias bandas sonoras para cinema, TV e teatro, entre elas para a minissérie A Justiceira, de 1997 de Daniel Filho e para os filmes Como Nascem os Anjos, de Murillo Salles, com o qual recebeu o Kikito de melhor banda sonora no Festival de Gramado e Faca de Dois Gumes, vencedora da melhor banda sonora no Rio Cine Internacional. Ganhou ainda o Grammy Latino pelo CD Crooner, gravado com Milton Nascimento. Biglione consagra-se também por ter sido o único brasileiro eleito pela Washburn, uma das maiores fabricantes de guitarras do mundo, para fazer parte do seu seleto grupo de melhores guitarristas do planeta. Com um estilo musicalmente eclético, misturando bossa nova, rock, jazz e blues, Victor já tocou com mais de 300 nomes da MPB e da música internacional. Lançou 16 CDs solos ou duos em diversos países e ainda, outros dois pela Cor do Som, banda que integrou de 1982 a 1984 contribuindo para a consagração do pop-rock brasileiro._________________________________________________ _____ English Bio: Arranger and composer, Victor Biglione is one of the best acoustic and electric guitar player of this era. Biglione was born in Argentina, but yet very young, he moved to Brazil where he has lived for the last 30 years. After an academic preparation at Berklee College of music, Biglione has developed an unique mixture of influences. Along the years, he became a lover of the American Jazz. Naturally, he carries the sophistication of the Argentinean music style. And spiritually, he deeply comprehends the sensual Brazilian beets and grooves. Biglione is, no doubt, an absolute Latin/Brazilian Jazz Artist. Victor Biglione has a great history in the world Jazz scene. He has many album released worldwide and various international performances. In 1986, he released his first album by Warner Chapel Brazil. A year later, he recorded "Baleia Azul" by Warner Latina USA. Both CDs presented at Brazil Free Jazz Festival. After two other records released, in 1994, he completed a new CD- "Biblioteca" by the American record label, Tech Records. He toured this CD in Canada and participated at the main jazz festivals of this country. Also, he toured in the United States, performing at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City and at the Le Café in Los Angeles.Biglione continues to expand his international career throughout the years. In 1994 he received an invitation of endorsement from WASHBURN International Guitar Manufacture Company. In 1995, supported by this company, he was invited to participate, as the only Latin Jazz Artist, at the NAMM - International Music Conference in California. At the same year he participated at the Montreux Jazz Festival; releasing two years later "Live in Montreux" by Leblon Records Brazil. In 1996, he recorded his nineth CD -"Maquette Brazil". It was released by Sony Latin Jazz USA and released it at the Montreal Jazz Festival.In addition, Biglione recorded and performed with many international artists. Among different names of the world scene, Biglione had recorded with John Pattituci, Steve Hackett(Genesis), Lee Konitz, Manhattan Transfer; on the CD "Brazil" in which it won the Grammy Awards. Also, he recorded with Milton Nascimento on the CD "Crooner" which it won the Latin Grammy Award. He had performed with various artists such as Sergio Mendes, Ivan Lins, Eumir Deodato and Paulinho da Costa. Victor Biglione showed his passion for Cinema after well succeeded experiences in sound tracks for movies. He won the award of best tracks in different festivals. First, at the in Rio Cine International Festival/ 1990; a movie directed by Murilo Sales' Faca de Dois Gumes (Two-Edged Knife). Second, he won the Gramado International Film Festival/1996 Awards; with a movie track, Como Nasce os Anjos (How the Angels are born). His interests for Cinema´s sounds were so strong and Biglione decided to create "Cinema Acoustic". With this most recent album, Biglione made new arrangements of famous international sound tracks. Mr. Biglione has been an artist of great reputation. It was improved so, when in 1997, Andy Summers, the well known Guitar player of The Police Band, invited Biglione to record a duo album. A year later, his twelfth CD, "String of Desire" was released by BMG and distributed worldwide. After receiving great press reviews, Summers and Biglione decided to tour. Latin America and Brazil were their first chosen locations. They performed at different venues such as Acarajazz Festival in Brazil and at Hard Rock Café.In Argentina. In 2001, between tours and other activities, Biglione finished recording the "Live in Montreal" with Marcos Valle, a respected Brazilian composer whom created a well known composition "Summer Samba" . This year Victor Biglione and Andy Summers completed "String of Desire" tour participating of different festivals in the USA, including New York Guitar Festival 2002 This year, Biglione and Summers recorded a second album, reinforcing the magic of this duo.
