About Me
Born in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro , Brazil , I began to play very early, influenced by : Jimi Hendrix , Robin Trower , Johnny Winter , Eric Clapton , BB King etc...
Later , studied harmony and improvisation , with teachers , graduated in Berklee School of Music. That's when jazz came as another musical interest, listening to : Jimmy Smith , Milt Jackson , John Coltrane , Count Basie , Wes Montgomery , Jim Hall , Pat Martino , George Benson...
After this , Metal flown as a natural extension of earlier ( rock ) influences - creating my personal blend.
About my career :
- I've been performing as a sideman , for a large variety of artists such as : Marku Ribas (percussionist) , Alfredo Dias Gomes (drummer) and many famous singers.
-Also had other performances in instrumental works , with important names of brazilian musical scene : Nico Assumpção (bass) ; Alfredo Dias Gomes (drums) -on CD called Atmosfera; Raul Mascarenhas (sax) ; Vidor Santiago (sax) ; Guilherme Dias Gomes (trumpet) etc...
- I've made several works for the following recording studios: Polygram , EMI , Warner , RCA...The most recent instrumental work is my solo CD ( Power Notes ), recorded at BPM Studio, Rio de Janeiro , in 2007, with my compositions , arrangements and production.- Recording engeneer and mixing : José Felipe.
