Christian Zwingel (b. 1977 in Cartagena, Chile) began his journey into sound with guitar lessons at the age of ten. Five years later he moves to Santiago and starts studying jazz guitar at the Projazz Institut of Music under the guidance of George Abufehle , this is his first serious aproche to music theory and improvisation.
After finishing highschool, he studied Bachelor of Arts, with mention in Sound Engineering at the Faculty of Arts Universidad de Chile , where he also takes classical guitar as minor subject and studied harmony and composition. After moving to another University to get a more profound knowledge in Audio engeniering, he get involves with Guitar Craft and takes some Workshops and private lessons learning this new guitar technic but at the same time goes on with his jazz studies under the guidance of Ricardo Arancibia.
After getting his degree with honours at the Universidad Andres Bello Aiep campus on 2001, an motivatet to learn new cultures and to expand his musical backgroung, he decided to move on and left his home country. He has participated as a recording engineer and/or musician in Concerts and Recording Sessions for diferent artists in Chile, Brasil, Germany, Czech Republic, Holland, USA, Barbados.
After taking up residence in Leipzig, Germany, he works as session guitarist and recording Engineer for diferent artists and Studios, and teaches music at the Modern Music School
