I was born in London but moved to Oxford aged 5 so I'm an Oxford boy really. Did school and A levels and all that. I'm now in Bristol studying Civil Engineering and trying to progress my music.
I've been Beatboxing on and off for about 10 years but for most of that was just messing about. I started taking it seriously about 4 years ago when I started listening to pros such as Rahzel and Killa Kela and met some local beatboxers round Oxford. Started gigging about 2 years ago with Oxford:Underground and have grown since then, supporting acts such as Klashnekoff, Poisonous Poets, Skinnyman, DJ Science, DJ Mathematics Killa Kela, and Rahzel. I recently won the South East regional heat of the UK Beatbox Championships and went on to perform to a crowd of 800 at the Carling Academy Islington for the finals.
Last October Me and Benz went to Cairo for two months to work with refugees, mainly form Sudan. We went out there to teach music lessons but ended up teaching English as well. The classes were a lot of fun, everybody would crack jokes the whole way through but we still managed to teach what we needed to teach. I was mainly teaching beatboxing in the music lessons, but also helping Benz with teaching production and recording. Seeing the lives some people live, first hand, brought home to me how lucky I am living in the UK, but also how badly our government treats the rest of the world.
