Horizontal life are a trip-hop, hip-hop, electronic act born out of the mutual love of jazz, uk hip-hop, trip-hop and all things chilling of josh sasanow (mc daju) and cat lucas whilst living and recording in harringay in north london. since then they have been lucky enough to add the talents of liz thornton, liz yarrow, and jacob rowe (also of makating and loose grip). also of course the percussive stylings of rory 'goat boy' powis, and some Bass from Tom Bartlett. Most recently we have added the maestro DJ Drunken Uncle Bungle (aka Jez Watkins) whose fast scratch hands and beautiful voice add another facet to our tunes. Now we also have the honour of featuring guitar legend Nick Lawrence to the fold to pack out our sound, check this space for even more great musicians coming up...Now based predominantly (get down here cat) in oxford we are concentrating on gigging whilst looking to complete our inaugural album. our first ep 'The Armchair Evolution EP' is available on contacting us watch this space for the full album in 2007......taking influence from the great trip-hop artists of history we hope to add something to the sum of the genre or at least make a few people listen and chill.
