the list of stuff I listen to would go forever..but here is a taste. van morrison (a singer in the truest sense), iron & wine (music for a rainy day), bright eyes (lyrics, much?) damien rice (Emotion with a capital E), ray lamontagne, jason mraz. the frames (a great irish band), david gray (can i make an album with you?), john butler trio (australian rock at its finest), norah jones (her voice is love), ani difranco (buffalo pride!), bob dylan (none other like him, never will be), dave matthews (my guitar teacher), wonka bar, dispatch, fiona apple (extraordinary machine), xavier rudd (another aussie who plays the didge and guitar at the same time), tori amos (i like red heads), phish (bye bye), coldplay, jeff buckley (drowned? what a voice), jurassic 5, the roots (my hip hop influence), our lady peace (rocking canadians), ben harper, solas (amazing irish band), all sorts of jam bands (i love music festivals..bonnaroo anyone?), nina simone, robert randolph and the family band (my favorite live act...i've never seen a musician move a crowd like he does), sigur ros, broken social scene,sufjan stevens (one of the best shows i've seen in a long time), cloud cult,feist!, hoots & hellmouth (philly tunes), album leaf. maybe more to come.
